Spooky Pets 017: Sugar Dumpling
Hello spooky friends! As we begin to wind down 2022, we find ourselves incredibly grateful for all of the good work our community has done this year, and for all of the people who have played a role in bringing the Spooky Pets to life over the last 4–5 months.
We always see a drastic increase in need during the holiday season, and this year is no different. This week, our community chose to sponsor a very needy puppy in Detroit. This is Dumpling:
We don’t know much about Dumpling at this point, except that she is a puppy and was picked up as a stray after after a good samaritan found her in the streeet unable to walk. Our best guess would be that she is a pit/lab and probably around 4–6 months old.
Dumpling is now in the care of Rebel Dogs Detroit. Rebel Dogs is a collective model rescue that focuses on community pet retention and stray rescue. They are caretakers for dozens of adoptable dogs and we hope that Dumpling becomes available in the near future! We have donated $1000 to Rebel Dogs to help Dumpling get back on her feet.
